  • 4 (10.5 oz) cans of compressed beef broth (similar to Campbell)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 white onion, chopped large
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 (16 oz) carrot package, peeled
  • 1 fresh rosemary sprig
  • mashed potatoes:
  • 5 pounds of Yukon Gold Potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 (12 oz) milk may evaporate, or as needed
  • Cup of butter
  • salt to taste

Step 1

Season the roast with salt and pepper; In a large, deep frying pan or Dutch oven, watch on medium heat until browned, about 10 minutes per side.

Step 2

Pour beef broth and water into pan with frying pan. Arrange onion rings and garlic cloves around the meat. Spread the carrot on the corn and sprout the henna over the carrot. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until tender, about 6 hours.
